The Scottish Highlands

October 2016.

Thanks to the legend of the Loch Ness Monster, the mystique of the loch has called to travelers across the globe. I myself justified the purchase of my day long tour throughout the country because of a childhood infatuation with the enigmatic Nessie herself.

The idea of a semi-prehistoric creature lurking in the darkest depths of the largest loch (by volume) in the British Isles can captivate the blandest of imaginations. I found no monsters, but I was blown away by the majestic and undisturbed beauty that the Highlands had to offer.
